FAQS

I WANT TO START THERAPY ALONE AND MAYBE LATER BRING MY PARTNER TO JOIN ME. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Kudos for taking the first step on your wellness journey! When you start seeing a therapist, you create a unique bond with them. They hear your story and start formulating different hypotheses about who you are and how to best support you. As such, when a partner later joins, there is a chance for bias because they were your therapist first after all. Your partner might feel late to the party and not have a full picture of the work you have been doing with your therapist. We recommend continuing your individual therapy and connecting with a couples therapist like Phebe or we can help you find a highly qualified therapist in the area.

I’M INTERESTED IN THERAPY BUT I DON’T WANT TO USE MY INSURANCE. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

That is totally fine! We accept other forms of payment including cash, checks, debit and credit cards. We do not report anything to your insurance company if you don’t want that!

CAN I SEE MY THERAPIST MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK?

Absolutely. You can collaborate with your therapist on your specific needs and check to see if this is something that would be helpful for you.

DO YOU OFFER FREE CONSULTATIONS?

We sure do. Give us a call at 253-778-6636 to schedule a free 15-minute consultation today.

ARE YOU ABLE TO PROVIDE A “SUPERBILL”?

Yes. We provide "Superbills" as needed. A "Superbill" is a statement of services you receive, who provides them, when you received them and what your diagnosis is.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE FOR THERAPY?

We work with clients insured by most insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Evernorth (Cigna) and UnitedHealthCare. You may be qualified for out-of-network reimbursement  with your insurance plan if that is part of your policy.

It is advisable to call your insurance provider to determine if you have mental health coverage.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEE CLINICAL INTERNS?

We offer a low rate of $50/session to work with interns. If you have Coordinated Care, you will be able to see our interns using your benefits.
