NATALIE CALLELY (SHE/HER)

Natalie is a lover of all things coffee, yoga and poetry. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (WA state Associate License #MC60985184) with a wealth of experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples and groups. Natalie comes to 253 Therapy and Consult with a background in chemical dependency, codependency and education from California State University, San Bernadino.  She focuses on clients’ strengths in their healing work and works closely with her clients to meet their personal goals. She has lived in California, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Washington.

JAQUELINE BARONI (SHE/HER)

Therapist

Jackie Baroni believes that diversity is important to build a wider perspective. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA State License #LH61242000). She has experience working with older adolescents, young adults and adults with mild, moderate and severe mental, and substance abuse disorders. She utilizes an eclectic approach and multiple theoretical orientations and techniques to address each individual client's needs. She is Brazilian and currently lives in Virginia. Her favorite hobbies are going for hikes, traveling, exploring different cultures and backgrounds, and spending time with family and friends. The services are provided individually in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.

CIERRA GLOECKNER (SHE/HER)

Therapist Intern

Cierra believes uncertainty doesn’t need us to accept it, we need to accept it. She is currently a masters level intern therapist at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey. Cierra is a veteran of the US Army and loves working with veterans as well as individuals and groups. Cierra comes to 253 Therapy and Consult in with a background in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other Anxiety Disorders with adults and children and is also working on getting her Perinatal Mental Health training and certification. She has a desire to help individuals accept uncertainty and not allow OCD and Anxiety to take over. Cierra is originally from Georgia and resides in Washington state with her husband and two dogs.

ALYSSA FONTANILLA (SHE/HER)

Therapist

Alyssa understands many of the feelings that come with being in the client's seat. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (WA State Associate License #MC61181058) with background and experience supporting various age groups from young kids to adults with challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjusting to life transitions and changes. She understands the impact your cultural identities and life experiences play in your overall wellness and explores how these intersecting factors contribute to your unique story, growth, and healing journey. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and a proud Filipino-American, Alyssa enjoys learning to cook the dishes she grew up eating, discovering new restaurants, reading, playing video games, and spending time with family, friends, and her cat!

STEVEN AKUFFO (HE/HIM)

Therapist

Steven has extensive experience working with adolescents, individuals, families, and couples. He takes a client-centered approach to building therapeutic relationships as a compassionate

facilitator for change. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (WA State Associate License

#MC61194283).  One of the most important parts of Steven’s work as a therapist is his cultural competency orientation when utilizing his theoretical approach (Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Schema-Focused Therapy). His cultural lens emphasizes the critical aspect of ethnicity on identity, self-determination, and self-worth and strives to help clients reverse the effects of social malnutrition and impoverished life experiences.

Steven is a strong youth advocate and enjoys traveling with his family and coaching youth football in his

spare time.

MARKELLE GALLAGHER (SHE/HER)

Client Care Coordinator

Markelle is a foodie, bookworm, sports fanatic, and loves all things bright and colorful. Always one to lend a helping hand, Markelle found a passion for assisting others while working in a high school counseling center. Markelle enjoys being able to help those who are in need get the support they need. As our Client Care Coordinator, Markelle is the main point of contact for all clients.

Other than her schooling in the midwest, Markelle is proud to have lived in Washington her whole life, and takes great pride in her love for the Pacific Northwest.

PHEBE BRAKO-OWUSU (SHE/HER)

Founder & CEO

Phebe has always enjoyed hearing people's stories. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (WA state License #LF60607100, Washington DC #LMFT200001200) with over a decade of clinical experience, serving folx from different backgrounds and ethnicities. Many of the clients she serves have faced a wide range of traumas, have difficulties with adjusting to life outside their home countries, are trying to make sense of their identities, are struggling with work stress, communicating in their relationships/marriage, are having difficulties connecting with the people around them or are having trouble managing their everyday emotions. Although Ghana is her heartbeat, Phebe calls the 253 her home and loves laughing and dancing in supermarket aisles.
